Pow Wow 2016 Takes Over Long Beach

August 24, 2016

As you know, we love art (and artists) at HEX. The Pow Wow movement is something that we both enjoy and support as it works to beautify cities around the world. Raising art awareness, while promoting civic pride from Hawaii to Japan to Massachusetts, Jasper Wong and the Pow Wow crew pulled into Long Beach, CA recently and we were so there! I was blessed to be a mentor for the Orange County rendition of Pow Wow School Of Music, and I got to do that again in Long Beach. I also got to meet some great artists, spread the HEX message and catch up with industry friends along the way. The event included numerous artists painting murals at locations all around the city as well creating installations for the Vitality And Verve In The Third Dimension show at the Long Beach Museum Of Art. It was a great week or art, music and creativity! Check out our recap video and a few snaps to experience Pow Wow Long Beach vicariously through your friends at HEX. 3P1A4251 Dragon76 3P1A4264 123klan and SLICK 3P1A3860 Felipe Pantone 3P1A3879 Mr44 3P1A3849 Dave Van Patten 3P1A4239 Dave Van Patten 3P1A4205 Pantonio 3P1A3997 School of Music 3P1A4042

As far as “we” goes, I went with my father, who’s 76 and loves to travel more than ever. I haven’t lived at home since I was 17 so it’s amazing to go on these trips together and...
